West End 6th Grader Paige Krause ran in the state cross country meet in Cochran, Georgia this weekend. She placed 37th out of 100 with a time of 15:17. She was Just shy of placing in the top 25. We are so proud of her!

Johan Reyes’ mother Kelly Reyes and his grandmother made pupusas for the entire class to try in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Pupusas are the national dish of El Salvador! She discussed the ingredients and how pupusas are made. They were a huge hit!

Using their knowledge of electrical circuits, 6th graders in the West End STEM Club are building working calculators from paper, copper tape, and brass brads. Once completed, they will write computer code to allow the calculators to make simple computations.
