Rome High School is celebrating a major academic achievement. Five of its students, Asher Cochran, Audrey Loveman, Andrew Neal, Giuseppe Rutledge, and Liam Samples, have been named Commended Students by the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program.
This honor places them among the top 50,000 students who took the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These students have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise, earning them a spot in a group of approximately 34,000 Commended Students nationwide. Each will receive a Letter of Commendation, a testament to their hard work and dedication.
"I would like to congratulate all five of our Commended Students for their hard work and outstanding effort on the test," Rome High Principal Parke Wilkinson says. "We know we have amazing students, and we enjoy seeing them being honored."
