Theatre

Rome High Theatre is committed to providing quality arts instruction and opportunities to the students of Rome High School. Director, Alexis Tyson, offers classes in theatre, acting, musical theatre, and technical theatre. Our department strives to offer multiple chances to see our student’s work each year. These opportunities include a competitive fall play, spring musical, and our student-directed ten-minute play festival along with class showcases. Our department also works with the RHS chorus department to produce the Rome High Talent Show each year. We strive to create a diverse and accepting environment in our performing arts department and encourage students of all backgrounds to join the theatre department. Students who work 100 hours in the theatre will be considered for invitation into the International Thespian Society and eligible for attendance at the annual High School Thespian Conference, Georgia ThesCon.
